known because the Church register gives no information on it. The wedding day is not to
be dtermined. The Churchbook of Horn ;ists only this in the time 1600 - 1650. In this time
there were only some notes.

is July 10. 1810. It is a very typical"Bauernhaus" or "Einhaus"which housed and
protected the family, the animals and the store of grain under one roof.

the 1950's and in fact it was one of these letters, saved by my mother, that provided
me with the location of the Bals family in 1975.
9. Augusta Gertrude 21.12.1867 - 1951.
Godparents: Augusta Ahnhorst, Gertrud Reker-Ebbinghausen, Heinrich Overhoff-
Gresteinfurt.
She ran the household of her brother, Clergyman Franz Bals. Lena Rickert
corresponded with Augusta until her death.

He inherited the Farm Lusebrink and married Ramunda Siedhoff of Schmerlecke
on july 8, 1890. The ceremony was performed by the vicar Franz Bals of Bochum.
Raimunda died on April 4, 1895 05 lung disease.
The widower married Theresa Koch-Schulte of Bokenforde in 1897. After the wedding
and in the later years of the 1899'spells his name with an "s" Bals.
